Lesson Learned

One day at St. Louis Automatic Sprinkler Company, I had to go on a job site to sketch up a drawing and take measure measurements. When leaving the office, I made sure I had everything I needed. I bring a large blueprint drawing, a drafting ruler, different color pens, and pencils with me. It was a short drive for me downtown. When I finally made it to my destination, I had to park three blocks away because of the congestion downtown. I got out of my car; I walked the three blocks to the skyscraper and had to get bagged in to go up to the 14th floor. So I finally found a place to set my stuff down and get going on the project. Right, when I started, I noticed something was wrong. I left my tape measure in the car. This was a mistake that would cost me 30 minutes of my time running back downstairs then running back to my car. Then back up. . The lesson was learned after that day to make sure you have everything you need when you leave your car to head to a job site.
