1. Schedule an annual inspection
By doing this, your fire sprinkler system will be inspected by a professional. The professional will be able to tell you want is wrong with you fire sprinkler system. The inspector will follow up and give an estimate if there's a repair that needs to be done. The inspector will also make sure that your fire sprinkler system is up to date with NFSA codes.
2. Do not hang anything from sprinkler heads
By hanging things from the sprinkler head, it could trigger the sprinkler head. I can also block the flow of water coming from the sprinkler in the circumstance that there is a fire. Having the water flow blocked, it could cost lives.
3. Check the system every month
Make sure nothing is blocking the sprinkler.. It is an easy way to make sure everything is good without getting an inspector. You can also make sure the sprinkler heads are not damage.
4. Do not paint sprinkler heads
Paint can clog the sprinkler head and affect the heat sensitivity. You are able to paint the sprinkler pipe, but not the sprinkler.
